The Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble
Since 2005 the powerhouse has hosted the critically acclaimed Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble. In 2008, the Ensemble became the resident producing company in the Powerhouse Theatre. The Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble commits to staging theatre works of high artistic integrity while endeavoring to remain broadly accessible and genuinely entertaining. The ensemble holds fast in its commitment to strike a balance between providing a venue for emerging artists and veteran artists; between the works of new playwrights, and revisiting timely and important classics. Our ensemble nourishes an open artistic affinity where a free-flow of artists, ideas, and philosophical debate keeps us engaged in our community and proactive in our pursuit of excellence. Buffalo Nights Theatre Company
The acclaimed Buffalo Nights Theatre Company was the resident producing company at the Powerhouse Theatre during the late 90s. They have produced numerous productions over the past several years including J.B., Anatol, and The Apollo of Bellac. For more information, click here.
Footprint On The Sun
After collaborating with the Powerhouse on the acclaimed 2001 production Last Train To Nibroc, Footprint On The Sun has become a resident company at the Powerhouse dedicated to workshopping new material and providing a workout space for actors to develop their craft. Creative Playground
Under the leadership of Elizabeth Tobias and Karen Hardcastle, Creative Playground has made a name for themselves in LA by producing energetic, interactive, engaging theater productions for younger audiences. In association with Creative Playground, the Powerhouse proudly presents The Children’s Season, a full season of shows for kids ages 2-8.
